However you book, you’re welcomed with a cup of Darjeeling tea on the Everest Cafe deck while we bring up your bags. On cold nights the heater is on and the bed warmed before you walk in.

“More than a hotel, a home.”
It’s what guests tell us most often. The house was built for the Maharaja of Cooch Behar; the old staircase is still the way up. We live here, cook here, and will gladly carry your bags.

Fresh bakes, Darjeeling tea and coffee, Continental, Asian and Indian plates. Breakfast 8:00 to 10:30; the café stays open until 8 pm.

What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out by 11:00 am. Book direct and we’ll do our best to let you in early or stay late.
Is there a lift?
No. Hotel Villa Everest is a heritage house with three floors and its original staircase, and there is no lift. Our team will carry your bags, and the lower-floor rooms have the fewest stairs.
Will the room be warm in winter?
Yes. Every room has a heated mattress pad and a room heater, and we warm the room before you arrive. The hotel has 24-hour power backup.
Can you arrange our airport pick-up?
Yes. We arrange airport and railway pick-ups with our partner Atharva Travels. Bagdogra Airport is about 2.5 hours by road, and your taxi drives right up to our door. See our taxi service.
Is breakfast included?
Our standard rates are room only. Breakfast is served at Everest Cafe from 8:00 to 10:30 am, and some of our packages include it.
