Living here for a while
Work, eat, rest: a long stay hotel in Darjeeling that keeps your room warm.
Working from Darjeeling. Our Wi-Fi runs at around 90–100 Mbps, and the house has 24-hour power backup, so calls don’t drop when the hill grid does. Every room has a desk or seating area, and the lounge and the Everest Cafe deck have the best signal and the best view to look up to between calls.
Food for a long stay. Everest Cafe cooks Indian, Continental and pan-Asian dishes, and bakes in-house: sourdough, shortbread, mille-feuille. Breakfast runs 8:00–10:30 am and the kitchen is open until 9 pm. Tell us what you like and the kitchen will cook it.
Winter comfort. Darjeeling winter nights fall close to freezing. Every room has a heated mattress pad, a room heater and hot water round the clock, and we warm your room before you arrive.
A week at walking pace. Take one sight a day: Tiger Hill at sunrise, the Peace Pagoda (about 500 m away), Happy Valley Tea Estate, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute or the toy train to Ghum. Leave the afternoons for tea on the deck.
