On the third morning, the mountain turns gold. Three mornings give Kanchenjunga three chances. On most clear winter days the first light turns the snow gold before it turns white.

Why winter
The cold brings the mountain closer.
From December to February, Darjeeling has its clearest skies of the year, and the snow on Kanchenjunga sits low and bright. Mornings are cold, between 2°C and 8°C, which is exactly why the deck, the tea and the warm room matter. The Mall is quiet, the toy train still runs, and Tiger Hill is yours with a thermos and a blanket.
All 11 rooms look out over the Darjeeling hills, and six face Kanchenjunga in full. Rooms are allotted on the day, and every one is ready for winter:

What is included in the Villa Everest winter honeymoon package?
The Two-Night Escape includes a room dressed for your arrival, breakfast both mornings, and coffee and dessert for two at Everest Cafe. The Three-Morning Honeymoon adds breakfast and dinner every day, one candlelit dinner and high tea for two on the deck.
How much does the honeymoon package cost?
We price each winter stay by hand for your dates and your party, so you get our best rate rather than a figure from a grid. Send us your dates with the form above and we’ll reply within a few hours.
Is Darjeeling good for a honeymoon in January?
Yes. January brings Darjeeling its clearest mountain views and quiet streets. Days are around 8–10°C and nights near freezing, so we heat your room and warm the bed before you arrive.
Can we choose a Kanchenjunga-facing room?
Six of our 11 rooms face Kanchenjunga in full and the rest look across the Darjeeling hills. Rooms are allotted on the day, so we can’t promise a particular room in advance.
How far is Villa Everest from the Mall?
About 1 km, a 10–15 minute walk. Your taxi drives right up to our door on Lal Kothi Road, near the Circuit House, so there is no steep climb with luggage.
Can you arrange our airport pick-up?
Yes. We arrange pick-ups from Bagdogra Airport (about 2.5 hours by road) and New Jalpaiguri station with Atharva Travels. Tick the pick-up box in the form, or tell us your arrival time.
